Dedicated to the memory of Malcolm Drown

Edward Malcolm Drown passed away at home on the 15th of January 2022 just shy of his 74th birthday, having finally succumbed to heart problems. Loving husband of 43 years to Yasmin, and father to Naomi and Matthew, Malcolm was a well-known business owner and local character.

In healthier times, Malcolm was often at his happiest hiking in the Lake District or cycling Suffolk's lanes. He enjoyed a reputation as a formidable squash player and was a life-long collector of classic sports cars. In his latter years he was a passionate yachtsman; having rekindled his love of the sea, he would set out from the Orwell most weekends. Many of these pursuits would inevitably be followed by a trip to the pub to enjoy some real ale and the company of friends. A raconteur with a sharp wit and huge personality, Malcolm was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service for Malcolm will be held at St Peter's Church, Copdock, on the 25th of February at 11:00 am, followed by a gathering at Malcolm and Yasmin's home. Everyone is welcome, but please, do let someone in the family know if you plan to attend.
